Eligibility & allotment

Who can register

Grade 06 – Year 1 College

Committees are graded Beginner+, Intermediate and Advanced so that first-time delegates and experienced ones are matched to rooms that suit them.

Delegation size

Minimum 08 delegates

A school must field at least eight delegates to be registered as a delegation and to compete for the Best Delegation award (₹10,000).

Committee preferences

Ranked at registration

Delegates rank their committee and portfolio preferences on the registration form. Final allotments are made by the Secretariat and circulated after registrations close.

How It Works

01

Choose your track

Register as an individual delegate, as part of a school delegation, or through the internal Vidyashilp Academy route.

02

Rank your committees

Read the twelve committee briefs, then rank your preferences. Be honest about your experience level; a well-matched room is worth more than an impressive-sounding one.

03

Pay the delegate fee

₹2,000 per delegate, covering all three days including meals, socials and delegate kits. Payment details are shared with the registration confirmation.

04

Receive your allotment

The Secretariat confirms your committee and portfolio, and releases the background guide, the portfolio matrix and the delegate handbook.

05

Prepare, then arrive

Research your portfolio, write your position paper, and come ready. The best delegates are not always the most practised; they are the most prepared.

Common Questions

Can I register without a school delegation?
Yes. Individual registration exists for exactly that. You will be allotted a committee and portfolio directly, and seated alongside delegates from schools across the city. Individual delegates are eligible for every delegate award.
I have never done MUN before. Is SHILPMUN for me?
It is. Four committees are graded Beginner+ (DISEC, SOCHUM, IPLA and FIA) and are built for delegates attending their first conference. Start with the delegate guide, which explains what a Model UN is and how a committee actually runs.
What does the ₹2,000 fee cover?
Breakfast, lunch and high tea on each of the three days, the conference socials, and delegate kits. Travel and accommodation are not included.
How many delegates make a delegation?
Eight. A school delegation must register a minimum of eight delegates, and delegations are the only entrants eligible for the Best Delegation award of ₹10,000.
Who is eligible to attend?
Students from Grade 06 through Year 1 of college.
Do I get to choose my committee?
You rank your preferences at registration. The Secretariat makes the final allotment, balancing preference against experience level and the composition of each room, and confirms it before the background guides are released.
Where do I actually register?
At the top of this page. Each of the three tracks has its own Google Form, and the button on each card opens it in a new tab. Fill in the one that matches you: individual, school delegation, or internal (VSA). If you are unsure which applies, write to munsoc@vidyashilpacademy.edu.in before submitting.
